Sloukas had a back problem, while Pappas had been dealing with an issue on his foot.
Sloukas suffered a hematoma of the quadratus lumborum muscle in the spine three weeks ago and didn't finish the game against Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv. With just over 4 minutes left in the second quarter, the Greek guard drove to the basket during a fast break when he was stopped by Jarrell Martin in the paint. Although a defensive foul was called, the guard fell awkwardly on his back during the play.
A minute later, the star guard asked to be substituted as he couldn't continue playing at full strength.
Olympiacos will face Aris on Friday, Feb. 17 (14:45) for the Greek Cup quarter - finals, and in case they advance, they'll meet the winner of the pairing featuring Panathinaikos Athens and Kolossos Rhodes in the semis, scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 18. That game will tip off at 18:15 CET.
