With just under 6 minutes remaining in the period, Madrid' Sergio Llull was fighting for a loose ball when Valencia's Klemen Prepelic dove for the ball at Llull's feet.
The Real Madrid guard immediately collapsed and remained to lie on the floor, grabbing his left knee.
Llull hobbled to the bench and remained sitting throughout the rest of the game.
At the time of leaving, the veteran guard had scored 3 points and dished out 1 assist.
Head coach Chus Mateo later revealed that Llull shouldn't be able to play for the rest of the Copa del Rey.
The Copa del Rey tournament system allows teams to register a new 12-player list before each game. If Llull is unable to continue to play and Real Madrid win against Valencia, they will be able to register another player for the semifinal match.
