The club tried to sue Bolobmoy, saying that he terminated his contract illegally. BAT declared CSKA to be wrong in the situation, and the player was justified to leave the country. As a result, the court ordered CSKA to pay all the BAT fees for the case and all of Bolomboy’s legal fees.
When Russia started the full-time war in Ukraine last year, the current Olympiacos Piraeus big man left the country and refused to come back.
The club wanted to sanction the player after he left.
"Get out of here! I already told you I am not coming back," Bolomboy told in an emotional post on Instagram back then. "Your way of getting players to do what you want is by threatening them and trying to punish them."
The BAT has previously declared that war in Ukraine is considered force majeure and declared Jarrell Brantley as the winner in his dispute with UNICS.
After transferring to Olympiacos, Bolomboy has been competing in the Euroleague, averaging 5.1 points and 3.6 rebounds for 7.6 PIR.
