LeBron and Giannis will choose All-Star Game reserves before starters / News - Basketnews.com
The league will avoid the 'who got picked last' narrative that was prevalent in recent years, especially after Kevin Durant purposefully didn't select his former teammate James Harden last year.

Broadcaster Ernie Johnson revealed on NBA on TNT that the order of choosing the players will change as well.
Both LeBron and Giannis will choose the All-Star reserves first and only then the 8 remaining players will be picked for the starting positions in each of the two teams.
In this way, the league would avoid the 'who was picked last' talk that is usually prevalent after the squad selection show. Most notably, Kevin Durant hilariously did not choose his former teammate James Harden last year after a behind-the-scenes beef between the two players and left him to be selected with the last pick by LeBron James.
Antetokounmpo might not play in the All-Star Game though. The Milwaukee Bucks superstar suffered a right wrist injury last night and is considered questionable for the upcoming weekend's festivities.
The NBA All-Star Weekend begins Friday night and end with the All-Star Game on Sunday.
