With Andrew Andrews remaining as one of the seven registered foreigners on the Panathinaikos Athens roster, head coach Dejan Radonjic had a tough choice to exclude a player from the official list.

Greek clubs are allowed to have up to 7 non-domestic players on their rosters in the Greek League (ESAKE) but are entitled to use 6 of them in every game. The same rules apply to the Greek Cup as well.

Panathinaikos currently have 9 foreigners on their team. With Marius Grigonis ruled out as an option for the cup earlier, Matt Thomas has become the second player removed from the official players' list.
