The Serbian derby was interrupted a couple of times, with team members stepping up near the microphone and calming down their respective fans.

The tension started at the start of the second quarter when Zvezda head coach Dusko Ivanovic received two consecutive technical fouls and was ejected from the game.

Red Star was down by 10 points at halftime and when Zvezda started to turn things around in the second half, the clashes between the fans intensified. Various objects were thrown onto the court, as match referees left the court at the beginning of the fourth quarter.

They were back after approximately 25 minutes.Heavily armed police appeared near the court to ensure the safety of the players, staff members, and officials.

After the long stoppage, Zvezda continued their second-half surge winning the last two tallies by 18 points.

Last but not least, a big scuffle on the court broke out at the end of the game, as Partizan center Mathias Lessort was in for a fight vs. Zvezda players.

Red Star is scheduled to meet Mega Basket in Saturday's Serbian Cup final at 21:00 CET.

Zvezda: Luca Vildoza 15, Nemanja Nedovic 14, Filip Petrusev 14, Facundo Campazzo 12 (7 AST), Luka Mitrovic 11.
