Tornike Shengelia will play two games for Georgia and one game for Virtus from Feb. 23 to Feb. 26.

The FIBA Qualifiers windows and EuroLeague scheduling issues have already been known for a few years, but Tornike Shengelia will take it to another level.

Georgian national team and Virtus Segafredo Bologna star will play three games in four days.

Shengelia committed to helping his country in the upcoming FIBA World Cup 2023 Qualifiers window. Therefore, he already landed in Amsterdam on Tuesday, where Georgia will face the Netherlands on Thursday (19:30 CET).

Straight after this game, Shengelia will go back to Bologna, as Virtus will be playing their EuroLeague game vs. Cazoo Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz (20:30 CET).

Finally, the 31-year-old forward will travel to Tbilisi, where Georgia will play a crucial qualifiers game against Iceland on Sunday (17:00 CET).

Georgia and Iceland share a 4-4 record in Group L and stand in 3rd and 4th places, respectively. Only the first three teams clinch a spot in the final FIBA World Cup tournament, meaning Sunday's game might decide which team will secure a place in the competition.

Shengelia averages 10.3 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 11.3 PIR per game over 15 EuroLeague contests.
