Pablo Laso thinks that he has to identify with his new career destination in at least a couple of ways and would like to stay there for a long period of time. The veteran specialist doesn't want to rush the decision and wants to weigh everything before making the choice.

The veteran specialist has now explained how he will choose his next club.
"There are many things that you value [in a club]," he said during an interview with Spanish journalist Sergio Vegas. "You value people. It is very important to know who works in that club, how they work, the idea of the club, and what the club is."
The coach thinks that both players and coaches have to grasp something that helps them identify with their new career destination.
"Each team has something with which you have to identify yourself. Oftentimes it is the people, the idea, the project, the club, and even the city," he explained. "I have signed players in San Sebastian which I regretted because I thought they didn't look good in the city."
"There are others that fit very well in the city. If you want an American lifestyle, that's what Madrid offers. It's very important," Palo said. "You have to value it. The same thing applies to me as a coach."
Laso has been recently offered to coach the Israeli national team but refused it with Israeli media reporting that the former Real Madrid's main man is looking for a EuroLeague team offer.
"I don't want to rush it. This decision is not easy," Laso said. "Changing jobs is not easy, not just as a coach. In my case, I have been lucky enough to spend eleven years on the same team."
"What I would like is to always be in the same team because that means that they value you. I have been lucky that where I have been, they have valued me a lot and they have put up with me a lot," the veteran specialist explained.
"It is not easy to put up with a coach, we have our own things. That is why I think about the importance of the project, the site, and a thousand [of other] things."
