Like many players before him, the Argentinian star learned about his release from Twitter and NBA insiders.

"I did my job, practiced, completed tasks, worked hard, and waited for my opportunity. However, everything did not end up as I imagined. I found out on Twitter that I would be without a contract. When Adrian Wojnarowski tweeted that Dallas would fire me, I knew that something was happening," Facu told TyC Sports.

"I knew it could happen for any reason as it was not a guaranteed contract, but not so early. I imagined it in January, but it came in December. I took it well, though. The hard part was the uncertainty of not knowing my new club," he continued.

"Meanwhile, I put all my energy into training. I had nothing to lose by accepting the challenge from Dallas. Then I went to Europe because I knew it was easier to find a role there than in the United States. And Red Star appeared, giving me the opportunity to be able to play and feel important. I'm very happy there," Campazzo said.

He also had an offer from his former team Real Madrid.

"We analyzed the offers. There were teams like Real, with whom we could not come to an agreement. The season was well underway and that complicated things. In the end, both Real and I did everything in our power, but we could not finish the deal. I am grateful for their interest. We have never had a bad relationship," Camapzzo pointed out.
