Jayson Tatum had a lackluster game against the New York Knicks last night. On top of that, the Boston Celtics star had to leave the game early.

Down by 11 with four minutes to go in the fourth quarter, Tatum shot a three-pointer that was heavily contested by Julius Randle. The Celtics player thought he was fouled and immediately started wildly gesturing toward the nearby-standing official.
When New York's Josh Hart made a corner triple on the ensuing possession, Tatum continued arguing with the referee and received his second technical foul of the game, and had to leave the court.
It was the first Tatum's ejection in his 6-year NBA career.
"All the great players get thrown out a few times in their career so it's good for my rep," the forward said after the game.
The first technical foul was given to Tatum for complaining about a non-call on his dunk attempt.
"The first one, no call. If you look, it was clearly a foul. And those are the ones that are tough. You get a tech for something that you probably were right about," the player said.
"[On the] second one, I just told him this was probably the best-officiated game I've been a part of," Tatum shared. "I tried to give him a compliment. Didn't go over so well."
Tatum finished the game with 14 points on just 6-for-18 shooting and one triple in 9 tries. He grabbed 7 rebounds and dished out 9 assists but turned the ball over four times.
With 44 wins and 18 losses, the Celtics are currently second in the Eastern Conference behind the Milwaukee Bucks.
