Duane Washington Jr. is expected to join the New York Knicks on a two-way deal.

The New York Knicks are planning to sign guard Duane Washington Jr. on a two-way contract, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Washington Jr. averaged 7.9 points and 2.0 assists in nearly 13 minutes for the Phoenix Suns this season. He was waived on Feb. 2.

Washington Jr. scored a career-high 26 points, hitting 5-of-9 shots from downtown, in a Dec. 27 win at Memphis.

The 22-year-old player is in his second NBA season after a stint in Indiana, where he played in 48 games and posted 9.9 points per match.
