James injured his foot and played through the injury but will now miss 2-3 weeks of action, NBA insider Marc Stein noted during his podcast with ESPN's journalist Chris Haynes "#thisleague UNCUT".

However, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar will not need to undergo surgery, Haynes revealed.

"So what I can say on LeBron is that sources did inform me that he will not require surgery," the journalist said. "That's good news. Right now it's all about time and rehabbing process."

"Could LeBron get out there and play right now? It'd be a risk but I think he probably could if he necessarily had to," Haynes shared. "It's too much of a risk. It's too much pain right now. The plan right now is to give him as much time to heal for this rehab process but the Lakers have got to win. They've got to keep winning. They've got to buy him time."

With 30 wins and 33 losses, the Lakers are currently 11th in the Western Conference with 19 games left to play.
