After the match, FC Bayern Munich's head coach Andrea Trinchieri was asked to describe the guard game.
"First half was amazing, unstoppable. In the second half, their defense was focusing on him more. He expected some calls, I told him that he was not going to have these calls," Trinchieri said during the post-game press conference. "He's very persistent in trying to get these calls. It cost us 3 turnovers in 2 minutes, it was way too much."
"This is a team sport, and I have the luck and luxury of having Corey [Walden] as a relief for him. He came in, and he sealed [the game]. He made great plays on offense and defense. You cannot rely on one player. Sometimes, he goes hero mode a little bit too much, but I believe that we have to cope with this, trying to adjust to his game, trying to correct things. There's an old saying - it's better to be arrogant than impotent," the specialist laughed.
Winston finished the match with 20 points, 16 of them coming in the first half, on 6-for-11 shooting, 7 drawn fouls but just 1 assist and 4 turnovers.
After the win, Bayern moved up to 14th place in the EuroLeague standings while Crvena Zvezda remained 13th, losing four of their last five matches.
