Villeneuve d'Ascq LM player Kennedy Burke and her teammates were racially insulted during the EuroCup Women's quarterfinal in Zaragoza. That's not the first racial assault in Spain this season. Earlier, Ulm's player Yago dos Santos became the target of racial slurs by a couple of Joventut Badalona fans in EuroCup Round 14.

An away player -- Kennedy Burke -- and her Villeneuve d'Ascq LM teammates became victims of racist insults on Thursday night.
Following her team's qualification to the semis, Burke complained about racist remarks heard during the Casademont-Villeneuve game and hinted at being treated this way in basically all away games.
"At this game, there were fans that were being very disrespectful and almost disgusting, because they were throwing racist comments at me and my teammates. And that just cannot happen," Burke emphasized in the post-game conference.
"It's ridiculous at this point that no matter where we go, there's always s**t like that happening," she added about the entire women's basketball picture.
"That can't happen just because your team lost. Like, you can't throw racist comments at the other team. That's just disrespectful. That's disgusting. You guys should evaluate your fans because that's not it. That's not how you go all the way. So, that's all I am going to say," Burke addressed the racial slurs from Zaragoza stands.
That's not the first racial assault in Spain this season. Earlier, Ratiopharm Ulm's player Yago dos Santos became the target of racial slurs by a couple of Joventut Badalona fans in EuroCup Round 14.
With less than four minutes left and Ulm leading by three (72-69) against the hosts, a woman fan sitting in the front row shouted 'Monkey!' aiming at the Brazilian guard.
The Brazilian Basketball Federation called the EuroCup to investigate the incident, while ELPA, Joventut, and Ulm condemned such behavior.
