That was his only shot in the match. A minute later, the forward exited the game.
It was later revealed that he felt discomfort in his left knee and will not return.
It was not the only injury that shook the Panathinaikos roster. Nate Wolters left the game with an injury as well. The guard exited the game with a right knee injury.
On top of that, Paris Lee also exited the game with an apparent ankle injury after awkwardly stepping on the floor.
"They seem to not be serious," head coach Christos Serelis said after the game. "I talked with the medical staff before. Maybe they can practice on Monday. We started with 11 players and were left with 9. We have a very difficult and complicated schedule in March and we don't want any more injuries."
The losses of Williams, Wolters, and Lee will add to a list of Arturas Gudaitis and Dimitris Agravanis, who both missed the EuroLeague game on Thursday and the game against Karditsa.
Panathinaikos wore black uniforms in the match to commemorate the victims of the tragedy in the Tempe region that shook Greece late Tuesday night.
