"The image [change] is undeniable. Everyone can understand that we have returned to normality, [to] a professional plan [and] an image of the championship," he said about the changes that took place after replacing the head coach. "It takes a long way to get from absolute anarchy to normalcy."
"The previous coach had a certain philosophy that might not have fit. Every coach has a course and his philosophy may not have matched the Panathinaikos standards," Pappas said about Radonjic.
The Montenegrin specialist was replaced by the Greek coach Christos Serelis who now leads the team. Talking about his progress as a new head coach, Pappas said that it's going pretty well.
"What I see satisfies me, we are moving in the right direction. His work is difficult," the player told. "This particular coach is a hard worker and has an appetite [for wins]. The [overall] picture has improved. We hope that the result will also improve."
Derrick Williams, Nate Wolters, and Paris Lee had to leave the game with injuries. The time of their absence hasn't been determined yet.
