"Congratulations to Cibona, they had more desire, they fought more than us, and their approach to the game was better than ours. Crvena Zvezda just cannot play like this, it's unacceptable," Ivanovic emphasized in the post-game conference.
"I am not diminishing the success of Cibona, they competed exceptionally with a lot of self-confidence, but we also played impatiently and dropped the game," the coach added.
Five key Zvezda players -- Petrusev (15), Vildoza (14), Nedovic (13), Campazzo (12), and Dobric (12) -- finished the game in double digits, but that was enough for the win.
"We were not disturbed by Cibona, we were disturbed by ourselves from the beginning to the end. The approach was not what it should have been," Ivanovic kept addressing the poor attitude of his players.
One of the team leaders, Nemanja Nedovic, even deactivated his Twitter account post-game to avoid unnecessary collisions with fans.
Following regional league action, Red Star returns to Belgrade, where the team welcomes back-to-back EuroLeague champions Anadolu Efes on Wednesday.
