Milos Teodosic overtakes Dimitris Diamantidis in all-time assists list / News - Basketnews.com

Milos Teodosic made his 1256th career assist and moved to 7th place in the all-time assists list, overtaking Dimitris Diamantidis.

Virtus Segafredo Bologna point guard Milos Teodosic, even more, strengthened his status among the best EuroLeague guards after overtaking the legendary Dimitris Diamantidis.

During the first quarter against Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade, Teodosic made his first assist of the game, passing Diamantidis on the all-time assists list.

The 35-year-old Serbian now has 1256 total assists which is good enough for 7th place in the all-time assist list.

Real Madrid guard Sergio Llull is 6th with 1318 assists. Meanwhile, Nick Calathes leads the way with 1839 assists in total.

Teodosic is in his 11th EuroLeague season and has a career average of 4.8 assists per game.

His best season in terms of assists was back in 2016-17, when he averaged 6.8 assists per game for CSKA Moscow.

The Serbian guard was named EuroLeague assists leader in 2015 and 2017.

Teodosic averages 9.7 points, 1.7 rebounds, 5.6 assists, and 9.7 PIR per game over 23 EuroLeague contests this season.

Throughout his career, Teodosic became the EuroLeague champion (2016), EuroLeague regular season MVP (2010), three times included in All-EuroLeague First Team (2010, 2015, 2016), three times included in All-EuroLeague Second Team (2012, 2013, 2017), and inducted into EuroLeague 2010-20 All-Decade Team.
