He will be re-evaluated in two weeks and will have to miss the next 7 games.
Williamson hasn't been able to play since January 2nd when he suffered the injury in a game against the Philadelphia 76ers.
The forward grabbed a defensive rebound with 37 seconds to go in the third quarter and dribbled the ball down the court. As he crossed the half-court line and went closer to the three-point line, Zion started limping before handing the ball toDyson Daniels. The player went to the locker room and did not finish the game.
He reportedly suffered a setback in his healing process in the middle of February.
Williamson averages 26 points, 7 rebounds, and 4.6 assists for the Pelicans this season. With 31 wins and 34 losses, the Pelicans are currently 10th in the Western Conference.
