The superstar forward slipped during the warmup, injuring his left ankle. The Suns ruled him out for the game.
Journalist Duane Rankin from The Arizona Republic reports that Durant was in a walking boot following the incident.
Head coach Monty Williams told during the post-game press conference that it was an ankle sprain and that more testing will be done on Thursday to determine the extent of the injury.
However, The Arizona Republic reports that the Suns organization fears Durant might have suffered a Grade 2 ankle sprain that would keep the superstar sidelined for the next four to six weeks, essentially keeping him out for the rest of the regular season.
Even without Durant, the Suns ended up winning the game easily behindDevin Booker's 44-point performance.
After getting traded from the Brooklyn Nets, Durant managed to play in only three games for his new organization so far, averaging 26.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per contest.
With 37 wins and 29 losses, the Suns are currently fourth in the Western Conference, one game behind the Sacramento Kings and Memphis Grizzlies who share the second place. Their next game is against the Kings Saturday night.
