In the 113-118 defeat, the Nets set a new NBA record. Their starters scored just 15 points with the bench contributing 98. It was the highest number of points scored by a bench unit in the league's history.

Out of five starters, just two scored any amount of points (Mikal Bridges 10, Seth Curry 5), while all sever bench players left their scoring mark on the court.

Patrick Mills led all Nets players with 23 points, Cam Thomas added 21, and Dru Smith contributed 17.

The Nets broke a 46-year-old record set by the Golden State Warriors back in 1977 against the Indiana Pacers when their bench unit scored 94 points.
