The 27-year-old Vildoza arrived in Belgrade on October 13, becoming the first Argentinian player in the team's history. He then signed a two-year deal, which reportedly has an exit clause at the end of the current campaign.
Vildoza is anticipated to draw plenty of interest from EuroLeague powerhouses.
Since day one, the agile guard has become one of the main pieces in Crvena Zvezda. Vildoza was named EuroLeague's December MVP, finishing the month with an average PIR of 17.7 and 15.8 points per game, both team highs.
He averages 13.4 points, 2.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 13.0 PIR over 23 games for the 2022-23 EuroLeague season.
Panathinaikos are expected to hire a new general manager in near future with Sani Becirovic taking over the vacancy after head coach Dejan Radonjic was let go.
With 9 wins and 19 losses, the Greens are currently 16th in the EuroLeague standings.
