According to Jose Luiz Martinez from Marca, the Spanish team is in talks with the Argentinian forward on extending his contract already even though it currently runs through the 2023-24 season.

The journalist notes that Deck wants to be recognized as one of the best forwards in the EuroLeague and paid as such. On the other side of the negotiation table, Real Madrid wants to retain the player but not at any cost, Martinez writes.

The summer of 2024 will be crucial for Real Madrid as multiple important pieces of the roster have their contracts expire after the next season. Edy Tavares, Dzanan Musa, Mario Hezonja, Sergio Llull, Vincent Poirier, and Fabien Causeur - all of them have contracts until the end of the 2023-24 season.

Deck reportedly wants a multi-year deal with Real Madrid. Several EuroLeague clubs have looked at the possibility of bringing Deck in this upcoming summer already, willing to pay a hefty buyout for the forward, Martinez reports.

The Argentinian player is averaging 12.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2 assists for 15.9 PIR, which is second-best on the team, only behind Tavares.
