After news came out that Panathinaikos Athens are targeting Luca Vildoza in hopes of signing him in the summer, the player himself issued a response.

The Argentinian guard denied having any talks, negotiations, or discussions with the Greek club.

"We were on the plane and when we landed, I started receiving messages, my phone lit up, everyone was asking me about it. I immediately called my agent, he was amazed, it was the first time he heard about it," Vildoza told Nemanja Stanojcic from Mondo. "It's normal that clubs follow and watch players, that's nothing new, everyone is followed everywhere but none of this is true."

Asked about his future in Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade, Vildoza was certain - he wants to stay in Serbia.

"I really feel great here, life is good, I love the club and my teammates. I don't forget that Zvezda brought me back to life and helped me become who I am now. When I came back from the NBA I was a nobody, I wouldn't have become who I am without the club," he said.

"To be clear, yes, I would like to stay here next season as well. I also have a contract for another year. Of course, no one can know what will happen in the summer, it will depend on the results and everything. We will see, but I want to stay," Vildoza clarified.

After signing with Crvena Zvezda in October, Vildoza has been averaging 13.4 points, 2.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.5 steals per game for 12.9 PIR.
