New York Post published shocking photos of Memphis Grizzlies All-Star guard Ja Morant 48 hours before the infamous incident with a gun in the same club.

The March 2 snaps show the VIP room of the strip club, with dancers and almost every inch of surface covered in cash.

"The whole room is full of money — it's literally a pile. You'd need a rake," one club insider told New York Post.

Morant reportedly shelled out at least $50,000 in cash tips over two nights.

"He was there to party, he wanted some girls in the room," the insider said. "The music was very, very gangster."

Two days later, Morant flashed a gun at the nightclub. It was his third gun-related incident in recent time, after which Ja took a break from basketball, deactivated his Twitter and Instagram accounts, and entered the 'healing process.'

The Grizzlies announced hours after the social media debacle that Morant would miss two games, which was later extended to include an additional four games. The NBA is still investigating the gun controversy.

"Our investigation is ongoing," NBA spokesperson Mike Bass said Saturday.
