After the final whistle of the eternal derby between Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade and Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade on Monday night, Mathias Lessort got involved in a scuffle with Filip Petrusev.

Multiple players got involved with Partizan's head coach Zeljko Obradovic even having to separate them from one another. After the incident, Obradovic apologized for his player's actions in the press conference.

Tuesday morning, Partizan announced that the big man will be disciplined by the organization:

The incident that happened at the end of the match between Mathias Lessort and Filip Petrusev is something that happens on sports courts but we believe that our player's reaction was inappropriate and too hasty. Regardless of what was coming from the other side, a Partizan player must not react in that way and the Club will, in accordance with the internal disciplinary regulations signed by all players, implement the prescribed procedure with Mathias. Partizan Mozzart Bet will do everything to ensure that its players never take part in incidents again and, regardless of whether they are provoked or not, always be an example of sportsmanship and chivalry.

On the other side of the court, Crvena Zvezda called for the player to be suspended until the end of the season by the ABA League.

After the win, Partizan are now in the 1st place in the ABA League. With 15 wins and 13 losses, they share 6th spot in the EuroLeague standings with Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv, Cazoo Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz, and Zalgiris Kaunas.
