Player of the Game EFF 31 Giannis Antetokounmpo Points 36 Accuracy 11-23 Rebounds 11 Assists 8
"I can sit there and go through what you all guys already know. You just put my name on the quote. You saw it. It's not fair. Book (Devin Booker) got 3 free throws, and Jrue Holiday is one of the most physical defenders in the game. He has three. Giannis has 24 free throws. It's ridiculous. There's no other way to put it," the coach stated.
"DA (DeAndre Ayton) can't play when a guy just runs into you the whole game, it's like we've dealt with this so many times with this team. And credit to him - he saw the way the game was being called, he kept doing it," Williams complimented Antetokounmpo.
Antetokounmpo finished the game with 36 points on 11-for-23 shooting, making 14 free throws out of 24. He also grabbed 11 rebounds and dished out 8 assists.
"That's hard to swallow. This has happened a number of times we've played them. It's hard to tell our guys to keep their level of poise because that's frustrating. They beat us, make no mistake about it but that's a hard one to swallow. It's happened too many times," Williams concluded.
Giannis has attempted the most free throws in the entire NBA this season with 690, averaging 12.7 per game but making them with just 65.3% accuracy.
With the win, the Bucks have clinched a playoff berth.
