The EuroLeague announced that the Greek team has received a €5,000 fine for the actions of its fans during the game. In particular, the league notes that the club was sanctioned for "lighting of fireworks crackers and flares, and for the use of laser pointers".

The loss put a significant dent in the chances of Crvena Zvezda advancing to the playoffs. Meanwhile, Panathinaikos do not have not even a mathematical chance of going through to the next round.

The home team played without Dwayne Bacon who was benched by head coach Christos Serelis.

Panathinaikos travel to France this week to face off against LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne. Meanwhile, Crvena Zvezda head off to Spain to battle against FC Barcelona.

With 9 wins and 19 losses, Panathinaikos are currently 16th in the EuroLeague standings. At the same time, 12 wins and 16 losses give Crvena Zvezda the 14th spot.
