With 4 minutes remaining in the first quarter, Edwards jumped to pass the ball to Mike Conley. While landing after the jump, the Wolves guard twisted his ankle. He immediately grabbed it, screaming in pain.
Edwards had to leave the court helped by his teammates.
"I couldn't walk on it, so I knew it was a wrap," the player told ESPN's Jamal Collier.
Edwards has been averaging 24.7 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 4.4 assists this season. With 35 wins and 36 losses, the Timberwolves are currently 8th in the Western Conference.
