According to Shams Charania from The Athletic, Towns will come back in a game against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday, March 22nd.

The center picked up a calf injury on November 28th against the Washington Wizards. In the middle of the third quarter, he suddenly grabbed onto his calf while running back to defend. The player left the court only helped by the medical staff.

Although it was initially reported that Towns will be sidelined for 4-6 weeks, his recovery took more than twice as much time. Ultimately, he was diagnosed with a Grade 3 calf sprain.

Before getting injured, KAT managed to play 21 games for the Timberwolves, averaging 20.8 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game.

With just 9 games left to play in the regular season, the Timberwolves are currently 9th in the Western Conference with 36 wins and 37 losses. However, they are just one game behind the 6th-placed Golden State Warriors, who have 37 wins and 36 losses. The two teams play against one another on Sunday, March 26th.
