Asked what his plans currently are, the Lakers center did not entertain the ETO.
"To be a part of the legacy already of winning a championship, you want to win more," Davis told Dave McMenamin from ESPN. "We're tied with Boston at 17, it's like, I want to be part of the one that makes it 18 and this franchise No. 1."
"I love being in L.A. My family loves it. I love playing for the Lakers," the player continued. "When the time is up, honestly, I'm not sure the direction the team wants to go or who knows the conversation we'll have. But when the time comes, we'll sit down, have those conversations and go from there."
Previously riddled with serious injuries, Davis has played the most regular season games since the 2019-20 season this year. Throughout 47 matches, he's been averaging 25.9 points, 12.4 rebounds, and 2.6 assists.
With 36 wins and 37 losses, the Lakers are currently 9th in the Western Conference with 9 games left to play.
