Tatum finished the game with 34 points on 13-for-24 shooting and 7 rebounds, becoming the organization's all-time leader for most 30-point games in a season.
With his effort against the Pacers, it was Tatum's 40th game this season with 30 or more points. The previous record-holder was the legendary Larry Bird, who had 39 such games during the 1987-88 season. Eight-time NBA champion John Havlicek held the record before Bird.
This season, Tatum's been averaging career-high numbers in points (30.1), rebounds (8.9), and assists (4.7).
With 51 wins and 23 losses, the Celtics are currently second in the Eastern Conference, 2.5 games behind the top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks with 8 games to play in the regular season.
