Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic made headlines on Friday night when the Slovenian NT member revealed he doesn't feel like himself on the court.

"It's really frustrating. I think you can see it with me on the court," Doncic said after a 117-109 loss to short-handed Hornets. "Sometimes I don't feel it's me. I'm just being out there. I used to have really fun smiling on the court, but it's just been so frustrating for a lot of reasons, not just basketball."

Doncic's former coach at Real Madrid -- Pablo Laso -- admitted that he didn't like what he heard from Luka.

"Doncic has always been like that, but I think he should control himself. I didn't like his statements," Laso told Jesus Sanchez of MARCA.

"I don't like that he conveys a feeling of weakness. I don't think he should say that. If he thinks that about himself, he should stop talking and fix it, not put the blame on someone. But the motivational aspect is very personal, and Doncic is a superstar, so let him do what he wants," the 55-year-old said.

Following his comments on Doncic, Pablo Laso addressed his own future.

Almost nine months have passed since Real Madrid decided to dispense with Laso's services, citing a heart problem and alleged medical reports that Laso himself has not seen.

Over that period, the phone of the coach from Vitoria has been busy receiving offers.

"I am going to coach, but I don't know where," he underlined. "This year, I have had offers, and out of respect, I should not name the teams."

Laso has been offered to coachthe Israeli national team butrefused it, with Israeli media reporting that the Spaniard is looking for a EuroLeague team offer.

There were also rumors regarding the Spanish national team.

"The national team is coached by a phenomenal coach. Right now, Spain is very lucky to have Sergio Scariolo," Laso praised his colleague and denied the possible interest in the position.

Since his departure from Madrid, the winner of 22 titles in 11 seasons with the Royal club has always received questions about his health condition after suffering a myocardial infarction last June.

"Everybody asks me how I am... I'm fine," he emphasized. "A cardiologist told me that I should have trained in the league final and that I didn't have to change my life.

"I'm not having a bad time being at home. And I'm not disconnected from basketball either," he concluded.
