Even though Iowa lost in the final against LSU, Clark became the tournament's all-time single-tournament scoring leader with 191 points. The previous women's record belonged to Texas Tech's Sheryl Swoopes (177) while the all-time result was reached by Glen Rice who scored 186 with Michigan back in 1989.
On top of that, Clark set new scoring marks in multiple other categories.
She recorded the only 40-point triple-double in March Madness history. After the triple-double, she scored 41 points the next game again, making it the first back-to-back 40-point performance in March Madness history. Additionally, Clark scored the most three-pointers in the tournament, men's or women's, with 32.
Besides scoring, Clark dished out 60 assists during the tournament, besting the women's mark. She was just one assist shy of tying the all-time record of 61 assists, set by UNLV's Mark Wade in 1987.
