According to Shams Charania from The Athletic, Zion has started playing some low-intensity 3-on-3 games with the team's coaches recently.

The player is expected to be re-evaluated at some point during the week, Charania told during the Pat McAfee Show. The Pelicans are taking the process cautiously, the renowned journalist noted.

"Some of it is scripted, some of it is low-intensity, some of it is a walkthrough, some of it is high-intensity," Charania explained.

"With Zion Williamson, it's a very specific case, his specimen is very specific, there's no other player in the league built like he's built, can jump the way he can jump, move the way he can move," Charania continued. "They have a different progression plan for him than they might for a guy that's usually 100% healthy. You want to make sure his game shape is good. Shape, condition, weight - everything has to align for a guy like Zion."

Williamson hasn't been able to play since January 2nd when he suffered the injury in a game against thePhiladelphia 76ers.

The forward grabbed a defensive rebound with 37 seconds to go in the third quarter and dribbled the ball down the court. As he crossed the half-court line and went closer to the three-point line, Zion started limping before handing the ball toDyson Daniels. The player went to the locker room and did not finish the game.

He reportedly suffered a setback in his healing process in the middle of February.

Williamson averages 26 points, 7 rebounds, and 4.6 assists for the Pelicans this season.
