Shaquielle McKissic says he would like to face Zalgiris in the EuroLeague playoffs to test the baskets and feel the atmosphere inside the Zalgirio Arena.

Olympiacos Piraeus guard Shaquielle McKissic already has an opponent on his mind that he would like to face in the EuroLeague playoffs.

It's the EuroLeague Final Four host Zalgiris Kaunas, and McKissic has a very simple explanation for it.

"I would prefer to go there [Kaunas] and try the baskets, feel the atmosphere of the stadium but let it be what it is," McKissic told ERT when asked about a possible matchup vs. Zalgiris. "Whether we go to Baskonia or play Zalgiris, we're going to play hard. I'm pretty sure we'll be ready for the playoffs. I have high confidence."

However, McKissic wasn't underestimating any of the possible opponents, saying that Olympiacos will have the same mindset no matter which team they'll face.

"Whoever it is, we will play hard.Because I feel like our team plays the best basketball in the world when faced with a challenge," McKissic said."When our backs are against the wall, we play well because we want to prove who we are."

"I don't want anyone to think that it will be easy games for us. I don't believe that. It is a difficult series of games in the playoffs so that we can go to the Final Four," added the 32-year-old.

Olympiacos (23-10) are yet to secure the No. 1 seed for the EuroLeague playoffs. The Greek powerhouse will clinch the 1st spot with a win against Baskonia or if Real Madrid lose against Maccabi in the last regular season game.

Olympiacos will host Baskonia on Thursday at 20:00 CET.
