In the announcement video, where Walkup tries to pronounce 'ktapodi', reveals that he will have four years ahead to say it correctly.

With that in mind, it means that Walkup will remain in Olympiacos until the end of the 2026-27 season.

"I love it here. Not only do I love Greece and the people and everything, but more importantly, I love the basketball here," Walkup told ERT on April 3. "What we have created within the club, the guys that we have here, the coaching staff that we have here, that's where it all started for me."

"I didn't find happiness outside of basketball, it started with the basketball here, that's why I want to stay," he added.

Walkup joined Olympiacos in the summer of 2021. The 30-year-old averages 8.2 points, 2.9 rebounds, 5.8 assists, and 13.2 PIR over 33 EuroLeague appearances this season.
