Dorsey, 27, is expected to make his return to the Greek national team after a successful FIBA EuroBasket 2022 individually, where he averaged 13.6 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 11.0 EFF.
Greece was eliminated in the quarterfinals phase, but Dorsey did not take long to reunite with NT head coach Dimitris Itoudis, this time in the club basketball.
"The coach was the main reason why I came to Fenerbahce," Dorsey claimed. "I worked with him over the summer. Before I arrived in Istanbul, we talked and I understood what he wanted. I realized what he was thinking about my future in Turkey. Wherever I went, I wanted to know what the coach would think of me."
Dorsey landed in Fenerbahce after an uneventful stint (3 games) at the Dallas Mavericks.
He returned to the EuroLeague environment on a deal that runs through the 2024-25 season.
"I felt like it was a good opportunity to come to Fenerbahce now, before summer. There is an opportunity to maybe make it to the Final Four or win the championship. That's always been my goal. I saw the opportunity and it's here now. I am excited," he said.
Dorsey, a former player of Olympiacos Piraeus, reached the EuroLeague Final Four last season but lost both games against Anadolu Efes and Barcelona, respectively.
