Spurs guard Devonte’ Graham suspended 2 games for DWI
The NBA announced today that SanAntonio Spurs guard Devonte’ Graham has been suspended for twogames without pay for pleading guilty to a charge of impaireddriving, in violation of the law of the State of NorthCarolina.
Graham was arrested in July of 2022for impaired driving, and he recently pleaded guilty to amisdemeanor DWI charge, according to TMZ.
According to the police report, the28-year-old was driving 63 MPH in a 40 MPH zone. However, thespeeding charge was dropped as part of the plea deal. When Grahamwas pulled over, his breath test showed a blood alcoholconcentration of .11.
In February, the New Orleans Pelicanstraded Graham and four second-round picks to San Antonio for JoshRichardson. In 20 games with the Spurs last season, Graham averaged13.0 points, 4.0 assists, 2.7 threes and 2.5 rebounds per game.
"Graham’s suspension will commencewith the next NBA regular season game that he is eligible and ableto play," the NBA's statement added.
