NBA Canada Series to feature Raptors-Kings, Pistons-Thunder in preseason

Today, the NBA announced that theninth NBA Canada Series will feature two preseason games inVancouver and Montréal in October 2023.

On Oct. 8, two-time NBA All-StarPascal Siakam, 2021-22 NBA Rookie of the Year Scottie Barnes andthe Toronto Raptors will take on the 2022-23 Pacific Divisionchampion Sacramento Kings at Rogers Arena in Vancouver.

The Kings feature three-time NBAAll-Star Domantas Sabonis, 2023 NBA All-Star De’Aaron Fox andCanadian Trey Lyles, and are coached by unanimous 2022-23 NBA Coachof the Year Mike Brown.

On Oct. 12, Canadians ShaiGilgeous-Alexander and Luguentz Dort – a native of Montréal – andthe Oklahoma City Thunder will take on the Detroit Pistons at theBell Centre in Montréal.

The Pistons feature 2021-22 NBAAll-Rookie First Team member Cade Cunningham, 2022-23 NBAAll-Rookie Second Team member Jaden Ivey and 2023 No. 5 overalldraft pick Ausar Thompson.

In total, 15 NBA teams haveparticipated in 16 preseason games across six cities as part of TheNBA Canada Series, drawing a total attendance of more than aquarter of a million.

Tickets for the NBA Canada Seriespresented will go on sale at a later date.
