In the Eastern Conference, the top-seeded team is the Milwaukee Bucks, followed by the Boston Celtics and the Philadelphia 76ers. The other teams in the playoffs from the Eastern Conference are the Cleveland Cavaliers, New York Knicks, and Brooklyn Nets. The Miami Heat, Atlanta Hawks, Toronto Raptors, and Chicago Bulls are set to play in the Play-In Tournament.

In the Western Conference, the first-place team is the Denver Nuggets followed by the Memphis Grizzlies and the Sacramento Kings. The other teams in the postseason from the West involve the Phoenix Suns, Sacramento Kings, and Golden State Warriors. The last two participants will be known after the Play-In Tournament, where the team pool includes the Los Angeles Lakers, Minnesota Timberwolves, New Orleans Pelicans, and Oklahoma City Thunder.

The first round of the NBA Playoffs 2023 starts on April 15. All rounds will be played in a best-of-seven series format. The NBA Finals will be held in June, starting from the first day of the month.
