I felt there like at home," Nedovic told George Zakkas of SDNA. "It was sad that Panathinaikos was not on the level I expected them to be and they deserve to be. But, you know, I hear a lot of stuff about the next season and I wish them the best."
The 31-year-old Serbian also spoke about his unique connection with his former teammate and current Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade forward Ioannis Papapetrou.
The two are rivals on the Belgrade courts, but their bond is something bigger than basketball, as Nedovic emphasized.
"It's great, beyond basketball. I don't care he plays for Partizan and he doesn't care that I play here," Nedovic said. "We always talk on the phone. Hopefully, I will have a chance to play against him in the ABA League Finals and win."
Crvena Zvezda finished their appearance in the 2022-23 EuroLeague campaign with a five-game winning streak. Despite that, Red Star (17-17) was two wins away from a playoff zone.
