The Barca guard was defending Dzanan Musa when he stepped on Abalde's foot going backward when Abalde was setting a screen for Edy Tavares.
In immediate pain, Abrines could not put weight on his left foot and had to leave the game helped by both his teammates and the club's medical staff. In almost 16 minutes of playing time, Abrines managed to score 8 points for 8 PIR.
The organization later announced that the player sprained his ankle. Further tests are going to be done to determine Abrines' further availability, the club communicated.
