Fenerbahce Alagoz Holding Istanbul easily defeated CBK Mersin Yenisehir Bld to capture the title. It was the fifth EuroLeague Women's final for the Turkish club and the first victory. After the win, Fenerbahce became the first club to win the EuroLeague both on the men's and women's sides.

The men's squad did it first in the 2016-17 season when they defeated Olympiacos Piraeus in the final. The women's team had a chance to achieve the feat during the same year as well but lost to Dynamo Kursk in the final.

The women's roster is coached by Serbian Marina Maljkovic, who's also the head coach of the Serbian national team. After the game, she received comparisons to the legendary Zeljko Obradovic, who led the men's team to the EuroLeague title 6 years ago.

"I've been receiving messages from people who know a bit about basketball and they include Zeljko Obradovic, and they said they hadn't watched a better game of offense and defense in 30 years. Imagine how I feel about this. It feels impressive," Maljkovic said after the game.

WNBA superstar Breanna Stewart led Fenerbahce to the title with 35 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. It was the highest-scoring finals performance in the tournament's history, beating the previous 31-point record set by WNBA legend and 6-time EuroLeague winner Diana Taurasi.
