The Spanish swingman suffered a sprain in his left foot after the hard fall suffered in the Clasico against Madrid last Sunday. At the moment, the player is out for this Wednesday's match against Coviran Granada and, according to the club's official statement, his return will depend on how his rehabilitation will progress.

The pain gestures that Abrines showed after the fall, following a defensive action in which he was chasing Dzanan Musa, had the Catalans fear the worst. In addition, Abrines needed time to recover and had to be assisted off the court.

As it seems, his injury was just a sprain and it doesn't entail any more aggravating factors that could lead one to think of more prolonged treatments.

"There is a lot of concern with the injured now that the most important games are around the corner," coach Sarunas Jasikevicius said after the game. "The fans and players should go home happy but I'm shaking, waiting for the doctor's call," the Lithuanian play-caller admitted.

It looks like Abrines' chances to be ready for the key games of the EuroLeague and ACB playoffs are quite a lot, but the same goes also for Jan Vesely and Cory Higgins, who could not finish the game either.

According to club sources, Vesely's knee discomfort is not serious and suggests an immediate comeback.

In the case of the Californian shooting guard, the low back pain problems he has been suffering from for a long time are expected to subside quite soon.
