During the first half, Sabonis took a shot on his jaw from Stephen Curry. Meanwhile, in the fourth quarter, Green stomped on Sabons and, after an official review, was ejected.
Even though both moments didn't look great, Sabonis believes it's a part of basketball.
"It's playoffs basketball," Sabonis said about an altercation with Green. "Look at the fans, this is it. Every time we step on the floor, we gonna give everything for our teammates and franchise."
After being asked, Sabonis specified what happened with Draymond.
"We both were fighting for a rebound. We fouled each other. Stuff happens. We gotta move on, stuff happens," Sabonis said.
After the Warriors grabbed the rebound, Green was about to run to the offense with the rest of the team, but Sabonis stayed on the ground. Green raised his foot, which was blocked by Sabonis' hand. He then stomped on the Lithuanian and jumped over him.
After the review, NBA referees issued Green a Flagrant 2 foul, which resulted in an ejection.
Green finished the game with 8 points (2/4 2PT, 1/2 3PT, 1/2 FT), 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal, and 5 turnovers.
Sabonis was able to continue to play after catching his breath in a couple of minutes time.
In a 114-106 Kings win, Sabonis finished the game with 24 points (8/12 2PT, 8/12 FT), 9 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 turnovers.
Kings took a 2-0 lead over the Warriors.
