Memphis Grizzlies superstar guard Ja Morant exited Game 1 against the Los Angeles Lakers early after suffering a right-hand injury. The player has avoided serious implications.

According to Shams Charania from The Athletic, there are no breaks or fractures in Morant's hand. The organization treats it as a pain tolerance injury, the renowned journalist noted on FanDuel TV.

The guard's Game 2 status is still unclear.

The X-rays came back negative, head coachTaylorr Jenkinssaid after the match.

"I'm in a good bit of pain," Morant said after the loss. "It's tough, especially with everything I've been through pretty much this season. My main focus was to be out there for my guys. Another incident where that's pretty much in jeopardy."

"I'll do anything to be out there for my team. It's pretty much, you know, how much I can tolerate. I feel like I can go out there and be somewhat myself," he continued. "I'll probably play but I don't want to do anything to hurt my team."

Game 2 of the series is scheduled for Wednesday night.
