Asked what goals he still has to reach in his career, the Monegasque team's representative did not hesitate.
"Just the championship, really. I don't have an MVP but I don't think it hurts me in any way. I think a couple of years I could've won it. That's the general thing that people know. It doesn't bother me as much. Definitely, two championships, I need two," he shared.
James doesn't think the MVP voting is always right. Instead, he thinks that the league's players should be involved as well.
"Whoever votes for MVP votes for their favorite or just who they would like to see win and not who they think is deserving. Sometimes it's a popularity contest," he explained.
"I don't know if the fans should have a vote, to be honest, because then it's going to be more of that. The players are a little bit more unbiased," James offered. "Even if I don't like the player, I'm going to vote for them if they should win the award just because that's who I think should win it."
Next week, Monaco start their journey in the EuroLeague postseason. Game 1 of the quarterfinal series against Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv starts on April 25th at 20:15 CET.
