"He started to build the team but there was no money for many of the players he wanted. From then on, for example, I pushed hard for [Filip] Petrusev. We knew the situation in Serbia and preferred him to play abroad, although Crvena Zvezda and Partizan liked him. They were joking, laughing in the style of "Who's Petrusev?" he said about members of the Panathinaikos administration.
"The team was built in a completely different way than what we had discussed at the beginning. Instead of two or three tough Yugoslavs who would play defense, they signed a lot of Americans and two very soft Lithuanians," Raznotovic criticized the roster build.
Later on, the renowned agent defended his client Radonjic, providing information into what transpired that led to the departure of the Montenegrin specialist.
"They were mad at me after [Nemanja] Nedovic left, and I didn't participate in any transfers because I was on some kind of blacklist. I helped them with Dwayne Bacon later. When it was all over, I said to Dejan, "You have no hope of surviving [here]". It was just a matter of time how and when it would happen. The entire season had been preordained since the summer," he shared.
"Many [people] may say his English is bad. This was the same English that brought him all the titles, even at Bayern Munich. The problem is that they didn't let him be Dejan Radonic. A lot of times, teams see some players who play [well] with the ball and sign them because they like what they do, and then they put those players in a completely different role the next season," Raznatovic continued. "This is what happened to Dejan Radonic."
In the other part of the interview, Raznatovic confirmed PAO's interest in Ergin Ataman and shared that he will represent Ioannis Papapetrou from now on.
