Campazzo previously represented Real jersey from 2014 to 2020.
The 32-year-old has averaged 15.0 points, 2.8 rebounds, 5.9 assists, and 18.7 PIR over nine EuroLeague regular-season games this campaign.
Campazzo arrived in Belgrade on a two-year deal on December 19. However, his stint did not go as planned due to EuroLeague's sanctions imposed on Crvena Zvezda which prevented Facu from playing until March.
Before signing with Red Star, Campazzo owed Real Madrid €2.6 million of the €6 million release clause that the Argentinian agreed to pay for leaving the club for the NBA. Eurohoops' Aris Barkas reported that a significant amount of that sum would be covered by the contract signed with the Serbian team.
Per the same report, Facu will earn €1.8 million for the 2022-23 season, while his salary would be €2.5 million for the 2023-24 season.
Additionally, the buyout this upcoming summer is €50,000.
Campazzo won two EuroLeague, three ACB, and two Spanish Cup titles over his time with Los Blancos.
In early February, Facu admitted that his priority was to return to Real after an uneventful tenure at the Dallas Mavericks at the beginning of the 2022-23 season.
He mentioned that negotiations had taken place but ultimately were not successful.
"My priority was to come to Real Madrid," Campazzo said in an interview with the Israeli media outlet Sport5. "We negotiated, and we didn't succeed, but it doesn't mean anything."
His Crvena Zvezda did not make the EuroLeague postseason, finishing the regular season in 10th place and two wins behind the playoff zone.
Real, instead, went to the 2023 EuroLeague Playoffs as the third seed and awaits the best-of-five series against Partizan, which starts on Tuesday.
